~Five For Friday~

Yesterday I got home from our fabulous trip to Disney World.  My husband and I had a great time but I sure did miss my animals!  It is always the best feeling when I pick my dog up from the kennel and she is so excited to see my husband and I.

This week I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for my Five for Friday!

Number 1
Obviously is Disney World!
We spent an amazing 5 days going to all of the parks and visiting with my best friend!  We ate at some amazing restaurants and went on a lot of fun rides! We were able to see the new Fantasy Land in Magic Kingdom which was very neat!  I am always amazed at how well Disney creates all their attractions.  They don't miss any details that's for sure. I don't think I will ever get sick of Disney!!

Number 2
Relaxation!
Although I had a blast on my trip, I am ready to relax and sleep in!  We spent every morning getting up early heading straight to the parks!  We spent a majority of our days out in the sun walking all around!  It was fun but I am definitely tired and in need of some relaxing and being lazy!   I plan on spending some time at the beach over the next few weeks and soaking up the sun!

Number 3
Food!
I haven't had a chance to cook dinner in a while and I am in the mood to cook!  Last night when we got home from our 7 hour drive from Orlando I was in the mood to make dinner.  My best friend drove back with us from Florida to spend a few days in the low country and we decided to make shrimp and steak kabobs!  They were AmAzInG!  I can't wait to spend more time this summer making all the recipes I have pinned.

Number 4
Animals!
If you haven't figured it out yet, I am a huge animal lover!  If I had it my way I would have a farm filled with all different animals!  I am the crazy lady that will stop on the side of the road and pick up a cat or a dog if they look lost.  While in Disney we went to Animal Kingdom so we could see all the animals they have there.  Here are a few of my favorites!  If you look closely there is a baby monkey in the first picture. He is white and is right under the black monkey.  I watched him for about 10 minutes because I couldn't get over how adorable he was!  I also couldn't get over the pig!  The workers were trying to spray him with water to keep him cool and he was not happy about it!  His face says it all!

Number 5!
Decorating!!!
My best friend who is here visiting gave my husband and I a gift card for Home Goods as our house warming gift!  I am super excited to go and spend it this weekend on something new for our house!  I still have so much decorating to do!  We plan on doing a lot of shopping over the next few days and this gift card will definitely be spent!

I hope everyone else had a fabulous week and is enjoying their summer vacation if it has already started!  If it hasn't hang in there, I'm sure it will be here very soon!!!!
Don't forget to head on over to Doodle Bugs Teaching to see what everyone else is up to on this fantastic Friday!

Monday Made It!!!

Today I am  linking up with 4th Grade Frolics for Monday Made It!  My post is going to be short and sweet as I am in Disney World and am about to head out to the parks!!!!
While on the drive down to Orlando I kept myself busy by making new high frequency word cards for my classroom word wall.  Right before school let out I got an email with all of the new common core kindergarten high frequency words and I was overwhelmed to see that there were 126 words!  I have word wall words that I have used in the past but there were a lot of new words that I needed word wall cards for.  I decided to make new word cards for my classroom that were smaller and color coded for each 9 weeks!  My goal is to be organized next year so I want to have these cards printed, laminated, and ready to go by the end of summer for next school year.
I am going to be doing a lot of chevron next year so I made the cards with a chevron pattern and I also made them with a polkadot pattern!  If you are interested in seeing them head on over to my TPT store to check them out!  I am pretty excited to use them next year because they are color coded and they will go along with my chevron theme!!!

Can't wait to read what everyone has been making over at 4th Grade Frolics!!!
Happy Monday Everyone!

Five for Friday!!!!

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday!!!
My number one this week is being on summer vacation!  Yesterday was our last day of school and I am so happy to finally have the next 2 months off!  My classroom is all packed up and I look forward to seeing it in August!

My number two this week is my newest unit that I am just about finished with!  I have been working all week on a "Letter of the Week" unit for my TPT store that has ended up taking me a lot longer to make then I thought!  I teach a new letter each week when school starts and I am always looking for a different activity to use each day that goes along with the weekly letter.  My morning work and ABC center are typically focused on the letter of the week so I decided that I needed to create a unit that had at least 5 different activities for each letter of the alphabet.  The unit is going to end up being about 150 pages but will be SOOOO helpful next year!  I can't wait to be able to print out the activities all at once and be ready for the entire week! My goal is to have the unit done today so make sure you head on over to my TPT store and check it out :)
Here is a little sneak peek!

My number 3 this week is I leave for Disney tomorrow morning!!!! I am so excited to get away, see my best friend, and spend some time with my hubby!  I can't wait to relax and enjoy the most magical place  in the world!  I LOVE Disney World and I don't think I will ever get over it!  It makes me feel like a little kid again :)

My number 4 this week has got to be this crazy weather we are getting because of the storm "Andrea" that has come our way!  It has been raining for the past few days and the storms have been pretty bad!  When I woke up for work Wednesday our power was out!  I have to get up really early so it was still dark out and I had to resort to candles!  Not having power and trying to get ready for work got pretty interesting but I secretly liked it!  It was kind of fun having to use candles to see instead of lights!

My number 5 for this week is my new summer clothes that I got!  I LOVE shopping especially for summer clothes!  My husband always tells me I have to many clothes but I don't think that is ever possible!  I am so excited to bring all of my new things with me to Florida tomorrow but It has definitely been a challenge not to wear them before my trip!  When we moved into our new house in March I got rid of a lot of my clothes so I figured now would be a good time to replace some of them :)

I am going to throw in one little extra this week!  I had a windowsill replaced this morning in my house and I had to paint it white once it was installed.  Well apparently my dog felt the need to put her 2 front paws in the wet paint so now my black dog has 2 white paws!  I should have shut the door so it technically is my fault and I can't get mad at her for wanting to look out her favorite window!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday and I can't wait to read your Five For Friday's on Doodle Bugs Teaching!

Currently....

I am linking up with Oh' Boy 4th Grade for my June currently!

Monday Made It!!!

This week I am linking up with 4th Grade Frolics for my very first Monday Made It !  I have been working very hard to make things for my TPT store so, this week I am going to share my newest packet.  I have been very busy with the end of the year but I was determined to finish my Ultimate Back to School Kindergarten Unit this weekend.  I am so excited to use it next year with my kids!  I have already started completing my bucket list for the summer by preparing for next school year and getting ahead of the game!
This unit is amazing!  It has activity sheets, center games, whole group graphing activities, a craft, and even a tag to put on a treat for your students the first week of school! The activities are based around some of my favorite picture books like The Night Before Kindergarten, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, and Elmer!  The packet includes an alphabet tracing sheet, number tracing sheets, a pattern activity, and an activity where the students draw themselves on the first day of school and the last.  This packet has so much to do and will definitely come in handy during that first week of school when I am always overwhelmed and stressed!

I have also been working on Common Core Progress Monitoring Data Collection sheets that I will use for each of my students next year.  Because our standards are changing and we are migrating into the common core standards I wanted to have a way of keeping track of what standards my students have met and at what point during the school year. This will be such a big help when completing report cards and conferencing with parents! I am almost done with it so make sure you check back at my TPT store for it soon!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and I cannot wait to head over to 4th grade frolics to see what everyone else is up to on this Marvelous Monday!
